We have kept traffic restrictions to a minimum to ensure the safety of participants and other road users. Roads will be closed to create a safe traffic-free environment for the event and will reopen at the times stated or as soon as it is safe to do so, which may be earlier.
Details of road closures will be available in early 2027.
If you or someone you know has an essential journey to make during these times, please let us know and we will work with you to find a solution where possible.
Thank you for your co-operation and understanding.
The final 2 miles through Inverness and the finish line and Event Hub at Eden Court Theatre provide the best vantage points for spectators. First cyclists are expected across the finish line from 08:45 onwards, and the bulk of cyclists expected between 08:45-13:00.
If you live in or are visiting any of the following villages along the route – Drumnadrochit, Invermoriston, Fort Augustus, Whitebridge, Foyers and Dores – why not get your friends and family to give riders a cheer as they go past, it really does make a difference, however please be aware of temporary traffic restrictions.
66 miles of rolling roads - built for those moments where you’re in the rhythm of the ride, and it just feels like you`re flying.

"You`ll never be more pleased to see a piper 😁"
One of our favourite reviews from Etape Loch Ness 2026...
"First time at this one, but superbly organised. 6500 riders across the line without a hitch, so impressed. Everyone was really nice, and feed stations had excellent baked savoury s#cyclingshots
Course itself is tough, but satisfying. The mountain in the middle is like nothing else I`ve ever tried and you`ll never be more pleased to see a piper 😁 heartily recommended."
Did the sound of the pipes give you a boost on the KOM/QOM climb?

Did you actually see Nessie, or was it just the Glendoe climb getting to you? 👀
