    Everything you need to know to have a safe and enjoyable event including registration, start procedure, support stations, mechanical support.

    Registration

    All participants are required to attend registration on Saturday 25 April 2026 between 10.00 – 19.00 at the Event Hub, Eden Court, Bishops Road, Inverness, IV3 5SA to collect their event pack. Please bring Photo ID.

    Please note there is strictly no registration on Sunday morning.

    Event Hub

    There is lots going on at the Event Hub over the event weekend.

    • Official merchandise
    • Q&A sessions on the podium
    • Selection of local food, coffee and cake.
    • Pop-up bars
    • Grab any last-minute essentials for the ride from our bike and retail stands.
    • Mechanical support to assist with any last minute tweaks or unforeseen mechanical issues.
    • Post-event massage on Sunday.

    The Start

    • You will be split into 4 waves (A-D) based on your estimated finish time.
    • You will receive an email in early April with your specific start wave (A-D) and your allocated time to arrive at your start holding area.
    • Groups of riders will be released at 3 minute intervals between 06.00 and 06.50.
    • Please allow plenty of time to get to your start holding area within your allocated arrival time. The start area is 0.6 miles from the Event Hub.
    • Please note that there are different access routes to the start holding areas for each start wave.
    • If you miss your arrival time for your start holding you will be asked to join the last wave of riders.
    • If you miss the final wave we are very sorry but you will not be allowed to take part in the event.

    Support Stations

    There are four support stations on the course offering water, energy snacks, portable toilets, first aid and mechanical support:

    • Mile 15 – Urquhart Castle, Drumnadrochit
    • Mile 27 – Invermoriston
    • Mile 42 – Wildside Centre, Whitebridge
    • Mile 54.5 – between Inverfarigaig and Dores

    We recommend you start the event with two full water bottles and some energy snacks.

    Mechanical Support

    Our mechanical team will be on hand during registration, at the four support stations on the course and mobile along the route to assist with minor tweaks and mechanical issues.

    Event Rules

    The Etape Loch Ness is intended to provide every cyclist with the best event experience.

    In order to do this, the following Event Rules are in place to ensure the smooth running of the event. This list is not exhaustive and the Organisers reserve the right to amend these Rules prior to the event.
