    There are many superb visitor attractions including castles,  whisky distilleries, cruises on Loch Ness, the Caledonian Canal, and dolphin watching in the Moray Firth. And of course the area is fantastic for outdoor activities such as walking on the Great Glen Way or South Loch Ness Trail, canoeing, golfing, fishing, horse riding and mountain and road cycling.

    Flights to Inverness

    Inverness Airport is located 7 miles east of Inverness and 21 miles from Loch Ness.

    Direct flights to Inverness with British AirwaysKLMEasyjet,  and Loganair are available to and from London Heathrow, London Gatwick, London Luton, Amsterdam, Belfast, Bristol and Manchester.

    Other international airports in Scotland are Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen.

    There is a bus and train service from the airport into Inverness city centre.

    By Rail

    There are direct train services to Inverness from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Perth and London (including sleeper services).
